PHR Chain Clamp Rockwell Hardness Tester is used for on-site test the large shafts, rollers, mouldings and steel tubes with cylindrical surface. This type of hardness tester can be used for testing the hardness of metal products in segments and of the steel-tube welding lines. It provides an unprecedented method to test the hardness of large-sized cylindrical workpieces.
Since the indentation is small and the test can be completed on the whole workpiece, the PHR tester is very suitable for one by one inspection.
Compared to Leeb hardness testers, the accuracy of PHR Chain Clamp Rockwell Hardness is more than 1 time higher. The accuracy of the PHR tester is ±1.5 HRC, and there are fewer factors that affect test accuracy, lower requirement on the roughness of test part’s surface. The test result is more widely accepted, especially in international business. Readings meet the requirements of most workpieses’ standards and no need to be converted.
The test result can be converted into HB or σb.
The testing scales include 15 scales, such as HRA, HRB, HRC, etc.
